PARLIAMENT

PARLIAMENT

Italian Parliament

Without doubt one of the most impressive buidlings in the Eternal City located in Piazza Colonna and very near the official merchandising store of AS Roma the official soccer team in Rome.

The Parliament itself is informally known as Piazza Colonna due to the presence of a huge obelisk in the middle of the square. The square is a strict no go area whenever the Italian parliament are in session.

We suggest you go and see it during the day time on a Sunday as it is surely one of the most impressive buidlings to be found in the Eternal City Rome. Be warned though that due to the increased security some restrictions may be enforced to stop you taking photographs of this highly sensitive building.

The Italian parliamentary debates are often very heated and several times a year end up in a free for all with blows being exchanged by the various political parties.
